1 onion chopped fine 1 large green pepper chopped fine 1 28 can Pastene Kitchen Ready tomatoes 1 6 ounce can Pastene tomato paste 2 cups water 4 garlic cloves minced 2 tsp oregano (dried) 2 tsp basil (dried) 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper 1 tsp sugar
Place all in your crock pot and stir to combine all ingredients. Cook on low for 5 hours. Take cover off crock pot and cook uncovered for another hour so it will get nice and thick ! Add meat if you like, cooked ground beef or turkey. I always add the sugar because it helps to cut the acidity of the tomatoes. Enjoy !!

Anyone have a good source for Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce? I just realized that most of the jarred suaces have HFCS, which I'm trying to avoid.
