I prefer Slimfast. No wild statements, just basic calorie control.

I was a big sim faster in the beginning of the year because i wanted to make a smoothie but didn't have the time. No I don't drink it because there are a lot of additives in it. I haven't tried it yet but I here Shakeology is really going to the salas bar with 5 plates is the claim.

Neither. Go for real food.
While I don't doubt that both Slimfast and Herbalife can help you drop weight short term, it's not something you can sustain (unless you consume these products for the rest of your life - yuck...)
I think learning how to eat right 'doing' real food is essential to being able to maintain once you reach goal.

Good luck on your journey.

Find your own way. I wouldn't buy whole hearted into either one, but I enjoy meal replacement bars occasionally by Slim Fast. I make my own protein shake for breakfast because its healthier and less expensive.

Herbalife shakes are fine and the company tells you to eat real food meals also, I replaced one or two meal a day with a shake.. snacked on protein, veggies and fruit whenever i needed throughout the day,and ate a balanced dinner... just watch your calorie intake! Exercise, and Drink water!

The calorie contents of both are really no better than having oatmeal or cereal with fruit for breakfast and packing a sandwich with extra veggies for lunch. Although, some mornings I have a carnation isntant breakfast for breakfast. I would honestly say neither are great for you, but if you decide to go that way I would definitely make sure you add fruit and veggies to whatever you use.

Slim Fast is full of sugar. And Herbalife isn't very expensive and also lists all their ingredients and nutritional components.

I still say if you go to a health food store you can find healthier meal replacement shakes with ingredients you can actually recognize, and without refined sugars ... and you don't need to track down an Herbalife reseller to get it.

I've used herbalife, don't get me wrong, I definitely like some aspects of it to be sure.

But I still prefer the stuff I get from the health food store - much better all around.

Neither! Stay away from stuff like that.

Neither one is a good idea-- food is always better. However, SlimFast is sold as a food. That means that the ingredients on the label have to be accurate, the company can be prosecuted if they include anything that's not listed, and they have to allow inspection of their plants to prove that they're clean. Herbalife mostly sells supplements. Supplements are not subject to any truth-in-labeling laws, so you really have no way of knowing what's really in it. On top of that, Herbalife is a multi-level-marketing company, which is not illegal but... well, just Google to read what MLM means and decide for yourself. There are lots of desperate people trying to sell the stuff, and trying to recruit you to sell it for them. When you're desperate to make your numbers and get back some of the money you spent on your "distributor kit," it's awfully tempting to tell people that the product does things it doesn't really do.

So, if you MUST use a shake, SlimFast is probably safer, both physically and economically. But why buy a shake at all when you could get all the same benefits for a fraction of the price? Yogurt and a piece of fruit are just as nutritious, just as convenient, and a lot cheaper.

While I agree neither system is your best bet nutritionally when compared to real food, I do occasionally have a slim fast shake for breakfast or lunch. I like the taste and it satisfies my chocolate craving.

What is it that you want from the Slim Fast/Herbalife?

I drink 1% milk with Whey Protein Powder in it. I joke that it is my Slim Fast Substitute because it is filling and nutritious.

I'd love to get my hands on the Herbalife Nutritional Shake again, 2yrs ago I stopped smoking and drinking coffee for 3 months while using this shake, and i'm a big coffee drinker! It helped my feel better and i lost a noticable amount of weight! It's worth the price, and no chemicals all natural! I wouldn't even bother with the slim fast yuk! Tried it and it did'nt work for me. Good luck with your goals... Hugs.... lucy I bought the box that had the tea and other things.

Neither helps you learn how to eat healthy for life, so you can sustain your weight loss / health goals.

But if you really had to pick one of those two, I would go with Herbalife as it has less sugar.

I would rather see you eat real food - if you want a shake for in a pinch, there are waaayyy healthier options than those two.
