MRSSHANNONC1970, I also have knee issues.
Spinning helps tremendously, as does using the elliptical. See if your doctor approves of those!

I'd recommend lower impact cardio activities (like swimming, walking, elliptical or biking) if your doctor is okay with you trying those exercises.

Coach Jen - I have bad knees, was told NO running, no squats, no lunges, can you recommend something I can do in place of those? I dont want to mess up day one....!!!

For the reverse squats, make sure your knees aren't coming out past your toes. Also don't come down as far if it bothers your knees. It's okay to make the squat smaller- same with the sumo squat. Don't come down as far, and also make sure your toes are turned out and your back is straight.

If none of those things help, it's okay to do other exercises instead. You don't want to push yourself and end up injured.

I just got done doing the first workout for the Skinny Jeans Workout Challenge. It was ok. The last 2 exercises hurt my knees. They were the reverse squats, and the sumo one. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do them without knees hurting. Could use some help. Thanks Tiff
