My doc gave me antibiotics and prescription flonase. I was skeptical at first, but since I have started it, I havent had any issues and dont need to take a pill with it! ITs been wonderful!

My daughter has severe allergies and she ended up taking THREE allergy medications. Zyrtec, Singulair, AND Alavert. You might could check with your doctor and get on these medicines. Seems to help my daughter. Also, take the medicine BEFORE you go to bed at night. That is what the doctor told us to do, that way the medication is in your system before you get around your allergy triggers.

I know for me air conditioning makes me miserable and swells up my sinus passages. I try to use my a/c sparingly and hydrate both my body and the air. Also when I feel like I might almost be getting an infection I go with eating lots of raw garlic. Diced and sprinkled over whatever I'm eating. It's a little hot but that really really helps kick the problem for me!

Be careful of using too much over the counter stuff for your sinuses, they can cause even worse issues. The only thing one can use in a daily way is those saline types. But if you are already beyond that, you may need to have a doctor check you out. I ended up having impacted sinus' and a deviated septum. I had to have an operation and it was NOT fun and I actually almost died from hemorrhaging during the "healing" process. I hope you don't need to go this route. Keep the faith.

Visit a doctor? If over the counter remedies aren't working, there may be an underlying medical issue you need to have addressed.
