JUDYAMK, Mine are KJ XR 3 www.kangoo-jumps.com/products
Here is a link to the health benefits, which I have found to be true www.kangoo-jumps.com/health
I bought my first pair at kangoo-jumps at first link but on amazon the link for the same ones is
www.amazon.com/Kangoo-Jumps-Special-Editio
n-Womens/dp/B005F0SGA6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=U
TF8&qid=1395082654&sr=8-2&keywords=kan
goo+jumps+KJ+XR+3

They did take a little time (minutes for starting) to become accustomed to balancing in them as they engage small muscles to balance, with the aid of a long walking (trekking pole) it is super easy. I bought a second pair on craigslist and both pairs were cushy awesome feeling from the start. One of the benefits I also love is the way they support my ankles. No more sprained ankles. I have worn these for walks for over 3 years, I walk one or two dogs on these 4-6 days a week, 2.5 mile walks and my only complaint is that about every 6 months the bands that hold on the soles wear through and must be replaced. I carry zip ties in case one wears through while I am out walking. (like taking a spare tire on bike rides)
Age IMHO has nothing to do with ability to wear these, it is all about how fit one is....like so many things. I am going to send you a private message about that.
Get some they are way fun!! emoticon

Aw. I know the feeling of wanting to take them all home. I also know the feeling of deciding to not get another dog. HUGS to you PACAROLSUE.

NSKYLINE115, I'm so glad you have gotten (and given) so much out of volunteering at the animal shelter. =)

=( I'm so sorry to hear that PACAROLSUE =(
Volunteering is a great way to give back if you cant own your own dog though!
I started volunteering in January and I had the same issue, I was so scared I would get so emotional and want to take them all home. But surprisingly my reaction was different, yes it's sad to see these poor furbabies in a shelter, not the best environment for them, but that gives us volunteers more motivation to make their lives as comfortable as we can make them. And when we see them get adopted out it is the BEST feeling ever!!! If anything they have given back to ME! I wish I had started earlier. We have a lady who volunteers there and she lives in a home for the elderly, they are not allowed to have pets so she comes in and takes care of the animals at our shelter and she says that gives her peace of mind.
If you are considering volunteering I would deffinitely suggest you do!!! Its sooooo rewarding!!! And its great excercise!!! I am not a fan of the gym, so when I get my excercise from walking dogs and playing fetch with them, my body feels so much better.

REBCCA, I have never heard of Kangoo Jumps, I went right to Amazon, what kind did you get there is so many on there, plus I am 63 do you think I would be able to do this? On the reviews everyone loves them, but they say there ankle's hurt and must wear 2 pairs of socks plus it take awhile to break them in . What is your take on all what I mentioned.?
I WOULD FEEL LIKE A AN ASTRONAUT FLYING ALONG !!! Oh one more thing is it easy to topple over on these if you run or walk in them?

I would love to do that now that I'm retired, but I would get too attached to the dogs and want to take them all home. DH and I have had at least one dog the entire time we have been together, 37 years. We have decided that the 14 year old dog we have now will be our last. I understand and agree with the reasons, but it's already breaking my heart and he's not even gone yet. emoticon

What a fun topic! I volunteer at an animal shelter and try to take the dogs out for long walks. We also have an outside kennel where I like to play ball with them, wears me out!

Take your kids to the playground and play WITH them. The exercise will be good for you and your kids, and so will the bonding.

Dancing, skipping/hopping from room to room in the house instead of walking, go to a park and play on the swings, get some chalk at the dollar store and play hopscotch, go to a park and play frisbee with someone or with your dog if you have one, go swimming and see if you can do underwater handstands or flips, play a game of tag or outdoor hide and seek, if it's warm out you could have a watergun or water balloon fight, go to a water park (if you can) and enjoy a day of swimming and get a good workout walking up the steps to the water slides, go hiking and see if you can spot any birds you know, if you have one or know someone who does you can play on a trampoline, go play paintball or laser tag... Ooh, and if you play on the Wii and have a DDR mat you can use the mat to play any game which means you have to work out a bit just to play, lol. Those are all I can think of right now.

I always wear Kangoo Jumps (anti-gravity) boots on walks. Fun, bouncy, super shock absorbing and double the calorie burn emoticon

What do you do to add fun to your workouts?
I just bought Hoops at Toys R Us that light up.
They aren't heavy enough to use on my waist, but they are fun to use with my hands/arms.
