I wasn't sure where to post this, so hopefully someone can help :)
Recently I've started to run and jog to add to my cardio. The first couple days were great, but then after a week or so, I got a bad side cramp. I stopped and stretched and tried to run again, but it just got worse. I decided to give the running a break, so I moved to jump rope, jumping jacks, and similar workouts. The cramps returned. So I started using my stationary bike, and so far I seem to be ok using that.
Today I tried running again, and only after a few minutes, my side was cramping really badly. I feel like this is limiting my exercise time.
What causes these cramps, and how can I get them to stop?
