hello, all, and welcome to my world! I have been here for a number of years now, and have had reasonable success losing the weight I needed to lose...then a hysterectomy, followed by breast cancer and chemo put paid to any diet I might have wanted to follow. Now, after 15 months of trying to lose weight and feel better, I have decided to start eating healthier, and have started a vegan diet plan which has reaped reasonable results over the last two weeks. OK, there are days when I might sneak a piece of meat or other such thing, but generally I manage to stick to the plan and don't even look for processed meat or such like. Fast food is out for a start, and more pulses, legumes and veggies are definitely in. One handicap I have is that I am the only one eating this way in the house, but that doesn't bother me...It is my intention to see this one through and lose the excess weight I have put on over the last two years. I am hoping that, now that I can walk a little too, I will kick off those excess kilos and feel as good as I did before all this. Join me on my journey- I would love to have you along!
