keep one empty Kleenex box...when somebody in your household has a cold or the flu, they can put the used Kleenex in the empty box (an important tip for those who have pets in the house that like to grab tissues out of the trash).
The empty box also takes up much less room; you can sit it on the nightstand, a side table, in the bed, on your desk, etc.
Love my hardwoods! Mopping with bleach during the summer especially helps! We've had puppies, who had fleas. Washing them with just lukewarm water and babyshampoo-basically drowning the fleas, which-the puppies did not appreciate until they realized they weren't as itchy.
I REALLY like that idea, I_Heart_My_Fam. I am so self-conscious about the brightness of my teeth, because I drink coffee, tea, and still occasionally smoke a cigarette here and there. (I don't buy packs anymore, but I do smoke now and then.) I'm going to start doing that! Thank you!

All good ideas. Vinegar & baking soda alone or together are great for so many things. Years ago there was a major outbreak of fleas in the Midwest even in the city of Chicago. I learned then that borax itself or as in 20 Mule Team on the detergent aisle in most grocery stores is great for fleas on carpeting. We always had a Laborador Retriever and when a person walked through the living room their white socks were speckled. The 20 Mule Team brushed in carpeting with a broom and then vacuumed 20-30 min later totally took care of the fleas for the rest of that year and we were never bothered by them again even though we always had a Lab. Always many thanks for suggestions.
I also do the pot fragrance thing but in a small crock pot, used only for that, not the small crocks you find in candle area those are too small. The one I am talking about is the smallest one found in the appliance section of the store. I also use white vinegar and baking soda for everything. I started mixing in a little bowl some baking soda and vinegar to use for my teeth the results are huge!!! I roll my tongue back so I do not have to taste it. I use this for a fast and furious first brushing then rinse my mouth floss and follow up with toothpaste. It works wonders. The reaction of both substances really whiten the teeth.
Winter is a dry, dry season here in the Roc. Something that my mother(MamiSheli53) and I have taken to doing is putting a large pot of water on the stove to simmer as a humidifier, and to make it smell pretty, use lemon or orange rinds, and a couple cinnamon sticks. Even just a couple cinnamon sticks is plenty.
White distilled vinegar is one of my favorite non-chemical all purpose cleaners. I get distracted sometimes and will occasionally burn rice or something. (Not always. I am a good cook, but accidents happen.) Soaking scorched pots and pans with vinegar almost always loosens up the ick, and makes the pot so much easier to clean. Vinegar also helps to clean coffee makers. Brewing white distilled vinegar followed by plain water once or twice a month, keeps coffee from having that bitter over-cooked taste.
