I am new to the site and trying to set up my cardio.
I am a heart patient and use my workout to bring my heart rate within the range suggested by my cardiologist. I use a treadmill and try to exercise one hour six days a week. The teadmill tells me how many calories I burned. I enter the number of minutes per week (360 = 60 minutes 6 times a week) and the number of calories I burned 1,860 (310 per work out times 6 days a week). The tracker then changes my work out minutes to 450 minutes burning 1860 calories. I can not get the minutes to agree with what I actually do - it keeps increasing it by 60. I know the number of calories burned as shown by the treadmill is correct. I get the same reading on different tradmills. Also, I used this spark program over a year ago and it correctly entered the calories burned and the length of the workout. I also seem to be having problems converting all this into how many calories I should consume every day. Any ideas??
