Hi, Ariel! My name is Nicole. I have a lot more to lose than you, but we can be friends if you want to. :)
I've been trough this twice and lost 55 lbs. both of those times. From this point, I want to lose about 90 lbs. That will put me at 150 lbs.
I wish you good luck on this trip. I know we both can accomplish our goals.

My name is Ariel...nice to meet you! I'm 19-years-old and currently a freshman at an awesome university.
Last semester, I gained the dreaded "Freshman 15" - and so this semester, I made it my goal to lose that weight by finals week.
I know I can do it, but only if I can keep my binge eating in check. That is what ALWAYS gets me, and I want to find better ways of dealing with stress. I need to break out of the binge-and-purge cycle of eating lots of bad things, and then exercising excessively after. It's not good for me - physically, mentally, OR emotionally.
Really, what I need is balance. But I'm having trouble doing this alone. I'm looking for a fitness/health buddy that will hold me accountable - and vice versa. And what better place to find a partner than SparkPeople? :)
