My triglycerides dropped about 70 points over 18 months. The only thing I did different was: 1. Added aerobic exercise instead of just "activity". 2. Cutting way back on processed fooods. Such as now I make my own soup salads side dishes desserts etc. And eat whole foods such as an apple instead of apple flavored something.
I'm not sure high tryglicerides are the same thing as fatty liver but just letting you know what did. Good luck to you.

As you know already from your personal history, you can get great results just from eating properly (your own version of properly, when you've lost weight, not anyone else's) and exercising consistently. Presumably if you do that again and keep that up, you'll see similar results again or better. So you have that as a really great starting point, without any "meal plan" at all.
On top of that, the suggestion to talk to a dietician would probably be good, to get tips for which specific foods might be helpful or harmful to you in your situation.
I don't do well with rigid diets or eating plans either. I get rebellious if someone tells me what I should or shouldn't eat. I joined Spark about a year and a half ago and I sort of wrote my own diet plan, with Spark recommendations as my guide. I can't make any suggestions about a diet for fatty liver, but there is an amazing amount of support on Spark People if you seek it out. The goal is not to please anyone else. When it comes down to it, eating healthy and losing weight is worth it just to feel good.

Have you entered your personal data and received your SP calorie range for weight loss. You will also get a range for protein, fat and carbs. Discuss these ranges with your doctor to see if they fit your needs. If not, then ask your doctor to adjust the amounts or ask for a referral to see a Registered Dietitian for more specifics.
Then start weighing and measuring your foods, entering this info in your nutrition tracker. We also have meal plans you can follow.

I would strongly suggest you seek out a referral to a registered dietitian who can help design a plan for you based on your medical history and personal profile. :)

I was told I have a fatty liver 1 year ago.
My numbers are from Dec 2011 - April 2013:
AST:38, 64, 40, 44, 69 ALT: 76, 108, 66, 88, 123
April 2013 my numbers were AST 69 (max should be 37), and ALT 123 (max should be 65).
I am a 51yr old female, 5ft 7inches, 213 pounds. My doctor said my triglycerides are high and I am obese. When I exercise and lose weight my numbers come down. Between menopause, family drama/stress and mid life weight gain I feel terrible. I don't like to surf the net because the always to to the extreme and I can do that all by myself. I am looking for hope and success stories.
I joined Over Eater's anonymous 1 month ago. I am working with a sponsor who has lost over 100 pounds and kept them off for 4yrs. I work with her on my emotional triggers. But in OA they don't give you a food plan. I don't do well with rigid eating plans or diets. I am committed to changing my lifestyle for the next chapter in my life. I joined SparkPeople today May 20, 2013 to help me find my journey to a New Me, or New Normal.
Anyone out there have some success stories on how the improved their fatty liver, or eating plan that has helped?
