Welcome back to SP! Just take it one day/ one step at a time. Good for you on showing your daughter healthier eating habits. As for your hubby, you can't make him eat better, but you you can do it for yourself and your daughter. Best of luck to you! You can do this!

Hi! I am back on here again. I did have success before and lost 25 lbs. with SP so am hopeful! I gained a lot of weight when I was pregnant and never lost that weight plus I put on even more since then. I am now 225 lbs. the most I have ever weighed in my life! I need to change for not only myself but also for my family. I am very worried about my daughter and husband. My daughter is 4 and weighs 65 lbs. Most of the weight gain has been in the past year and a half. We moved away from all family and friends for my husband's job. I know it is all my fault as far as her gaining the weight. I have been depressed since we moved and most days I am not physically active with her. We are in an apartment on the top floor and this winter has been horrible here as far as extreme cold and snowy roads. I also had a foot injury, torn ligaments, stress fracture for the past 6 months and couldn't do much at all with her. We were members at the Y but it was too far of a drive, I had the cast on and it was too expensive so we cancelled that. She was in gymnastics there for 8 weeks and she liked it but she has super tight calf muscles and walks on her toes so it was challenging for her at times. She is going to be in casts soon to try to get her walking right and physical therapy as well as braces so that worries me even more that she might not be as active as she should be. I did enroll her in a preschool Mon Wed Fri mornings and she loves that but they haven't been that active either with not being able to go outside lately. I started making obstacle courses in the living room and dancing with her but she tires easily.
It really is our inactive lifestyle and eating habits. I have no support from my husband from this as he eats like he is still in college, bringing pizza and junk food home all the time. Ive even tried packing healthy lunches for him but he just brings them home uneaten. He eats fast food for about 80 percent of his diet which is very scary as he has had all his grandparents die from heart problems and he is overweight and never has had his cholesterol checked. My daughter and I do eat a little healthier than he does but still eat fast food or convenient foods way to much. She does like fruits and vegetables a lot and she is more willing than a lot of children I know to try new things. She will eat peas like crazy which grosses me out because that is one vegetable I don't like but I will sit there and force them down smiling so she sees me eat them.
I'm hoping SP can help me with new healthy habits so I can help my family!
