You have done so wonderfully......15 pounds is awesome! Just go back to your pattern of eating that was successful and I'm sure those 4 pounds are just a "temporary reminder".

Great job in getting from your start weight to 165. I've only lost 3 pounds since I started a month ago, but I'm highly encouraged because I'm finally starting to do the right things.

It's great that you're exercising. That's what I've gotta do.

Today I bit the bullet and recorded a 4 lb. gain. Too much week-end, I guess. I ate carefully but didn't get the usual amount of exercise, and it showed. If I hadn't recorded it, I wouldn't have been honest with myself... and that's what counts, not whether someone else knows i gained.

I lost 2 pounds since I started. It's just a little, but I'm pleased because I know I'm on the right track. I've already changed some habits.

We focus too much on the scale. (Of course, I do it, too). The point is the BEHAVIOR of eating right, exercising, and living in a healthy way. If it were me, I wouldn't record it. But I certainly do respect those who say to do it on your regular day. One advantage of doing that is that the next time you weigh, you'll see a juicy loss.

Reading the posts, I see that you have lost the weight you were worried about. I agree with the person who said to look at the big picture... being up a bit one time doesn't mean too much. Being away from your routine can make a difference, even though you try hard to eat properly and get exercise. I think it's best to record the gain, then the eventual loss.

Congratulations! If we are down a pound, a half pound.....whatever it is, it is only proof of that which we know we are doing. We are changing our way of life... Giving our bodies healthy food and benefiting exercise. Thank you to those of you who told me to post and be patient, ,,,I will be! emoticon

One thing I've learned on SP is to take the long view. Don't let any one weight or anything else stop me from just keep going! Take the long view!

The body holds water when sitting for prolonged times, like driving or flying. Your 2 pound gain was not reflecting gain of fat whatsoever based on what you are saying.

It is most likely just water weight. You will likely see better results next week. Don't let it get you down. Just keep at it and you will see the results you want.

If you ate out during that conference, you probably took in a lot of sodium, which would account for the gain.
Don't worry about it... you did not gain fat since you were careful!

If today is the day you were to record it, then do it.

Putting it off makes no sense... what if it takes 2 or 3 or more days for it to come off? Will you just keep putting off weighing?

I have returned from a 3 day conference where I tried to make healthy eating choices and exercise. Today I was supposed to record my weight, but the scale showed I gained 2 pounds. Do I record that number, or wait for tomorrow hoping that the increase it temporary? I'm not sure what to do.
