Interesting article....In my experience, I've been eating typically 2400-3600 mg of sodium per day (from my foods, I don't salt anything), and my blood pressure is consistently something like 85-90/55-60. So I don't think that eating over the recommended range has raised my blood pressure...it's still a pretty low blood pressure! I wouldn't want to consume like 5000+ mg/day but if i get 3000-4000 I'm not worried.

Here is an article from the New York Times. Basically, it is an opinion piece suggesting that the 'eat less salt' dogma in modern medicine is based on weak and contradictory data. I don't know enough on the subject to agree or disagree, but still an interesting read.
