I track salt and you would get a shock if you did.
between 500 and 2300 milligram a day and that is hard to come by.

Sometimes I can't get to the 500 without adding

Not a huge salt person, mainly just for cooking

Never add it to anything unless I am cooking.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

I agree and do track it. Often near top of level range even though I omit it in recipies (though I never go in and edit the recipe, I just track it as it is recorded on this site). I do not add it at the table unless corn on cob.
Track it and it will make you aware of how high it is even when you think you are avoiding it in most of daily foods. Most anything prefab has enough for a whole day even when you think you avoid in the rest of the day.

It is what I do from this minute on that decides the future and my progress. Concentrate on little steps forward and don't focus on the backward ones. Keep going forward and looking up! WE have been there, WE all can do this!

Here is a helpful article on salt, and how it is found in so many places other than the salt shaker. At the bottom of the article are links to more information.

Hope this helps.

I use sea salt when i do need salt, but very sparingly. I don't add it at the table, and have reduced or eliminated it from many of my recipes. However, there are some things that require it - as in bread recipes (the bread won't rise properly without it).
