favorite salad: lettuce mix leftover taco meat (made with 1/2 ground turkey or chicken, 1/2 black beans, DIY seasoning) homemade salsa (canned diced tomatoes no salt, jalapeno-onion-garlic, green pep-food processor) a few crushed tortilla chips

I usually make a salad of lettuce, etc. Then I try to vary the protein by adding one or more of the following: chickpeas (rinsed and drained) tuna, (rinsed and drained) sliced hard boiled egg pickled beets three bean salad
Romaine and spinach topped with Green Onions Carrots Radish Bacon Chicken or Hard Boiled Eggs Avocado Flaxseed Oil Herbamare Sea Salt

I made an awesome salad/slaw the other day with purple cabbage, shredded carrots, shredded broccoli, red bell peppers, edamame and peanuts in a sesame-ginger-lime dressing.

for a quite different salad..... try a mix of : chopped broccoli, cranberries (flavored are great!!), pecans (or other nuts), orange slices (or other fruit for the flavored cranberries...)
Put together with a bit of sweetened mayo, or your favorite low cal dressing. Chill several hours.
Another great mix is: apple/carrot/raisin/walnut salad. And our other standby is: light lemon jello with shredded carrots and canned pineapple tidbits!!

I change all the time too. A recent favorite:
raw chopped spinach minced garlic red wine vinegar cucumber dressing (make in blender with cucumber, water, salt, pepper, drop of stevia) pink wild-caught salmon, flaked
mix all together well.

I need new ideas for my salad. I bore easily, so I try to change it up. My normals are grape tomato, colored bell peppers, tuna/chicken/lean deli meats, cheese, mushrooms, cucumbers, broccoli, carrots, olives..not all at once, I change it up sometimes.
I also like deconstruct the salad, meaning, I will just have a plate of grape tomatoes, half of bell pepper, a couple of slices of ham, stick of string cheese, etc.
