Hi Susie

That's probably not going to happen within SparkCoach, but could happen at some point within the overall site. I will pass along the request.

Hi,
50 pds is amazing and I am really hopeful I will be able to say that one of these days!! Please let me know how it goes with the spark coach program. I was thinking about giving it a try but at this point I am just trying to get healthy home cooked foods in me, difficult for me with all the planning, cooking ect. and remembering to track my food and drink the water.

I have been a sparker for many years, and come and go. I've finally lost about 50 lbs, but find myself in a funk recently and decided to give spark coach a try. I like the 10 minutes required because even I can find that much time. Today is day 2 of the free week and like to start with the visualization. Is there any discussion about adding some of the more common medical conditions so we can get more appropriate dietary recommendations?

Hi Debbie

I'd encourage you to do the trial (you don't put in your credit card info or anything, so you don't have anything to lose) so that you can see what it's like. The access to coaches is an email that you can send once a week to ask questions about your program and progress. It's not real-time. Our coaches have a wide variety of expertise, including personal trainers, a registered dietitian, motivation experts, etc.

Hope that helps,

Coach Jen

Hi everyone,

I am new here and in my first week. I joined a team but it seems the majority of us are just joining. I was thinking about the sparkcoach but the page does not give you a lot of information on how it works. I wanted to know more before I started the free trial. Do you have a live person to communicate with? It says something about virtual and I thought it would just be the computer helping me. I was also wondering who these coaches are and what their knowledge base is.

Thanks,
Debbie

That's too bad - at that price I won't be using it.

Hi Val

The one-year option is only available if you're brand new to SparkCoach. After that, it's the monthly plan. Sorry about that!

I've done a couple of free trial Spark Coach programs in the past. I would now like to pay for Spark Coach, but when signing up today it says it will cost me $8.99 for the first month.

In searching the boards when looking for the cost, the following www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageboard.a
sp?imboard=3&imparent=29398509

advises it will cost $48.99 a year which is more affordable and the plan I'm interested in, however, I can't see that option on my SparkCoach Payment Settings page.

Can you help please? Thank you.

I am finding SparkCoach really helpful, but there are some things that continue to annoy.

If I am already a SP member and I am in SparkCoach on one tab, why do I get a pop-up message asking me to join SP when I go to another tab or when I finish with SparkCoach and close the SparkCoach tab (Please note: I always have SP open on a least one other tab while I am using SparkCoach.)?

While I am in SparkCoach I click on a link to an article or video which leaves SparkCoach open on one tab and opens the SP link in another. Then when I am finished reading the article and click on the button to get my SparkPoints, why am I am required to sign in to SP to get my SparkPoints (Please note: As long as I am signed into SP (and not in SparkCoach) I can open any number of additional tabs to access SP resources and not have to sign in every time to get my points. These issues happen only when I have SparkCoach open.)?

We don't have a way to do that at this time.

Sorry about that! It's a great idea!

Is there a way to gift Spark Coach to someone?

There are 3 different programs within SparkCoach. The SparkDiet is 90 days long, Plateau Busters is 60 days (I think) and I'm pretty sure Consistency and Motivation is also 60 days. A lot of people continue on after they finish all of the programs since there is so much you can review and you can still continue getting that additional support.

Hope that helps,

Coach Jen

I am really enjoying SparkCoach, even though I've been a Sparker for years, I'm getting motivational benefit!
My question is, how long does the informational program continue? Is it for the full year? or does it run its course after a few weeks?
I would like to know basically what to expect beyond the first few weeks.
Thanks!

There's a red button at the top right to click for SparkCoach. It will be very easy to see.

I just wanted to say that I love Spark coach. I use it daily, even though it's a repeated material. I love the mobile app. I love getting points. I was wondering where we will access it after the new start page opens on the 20th?

I believe that offer was available when the book first came out, but is no longer a promotion we're offering.

Sorry about that!

twilaq1 posts that they received a free 3 month trial of spark coach by purchasing the book. I just purchased the book, and there was nothing in my purchase that indicated I would get the 3 month membership. Is there a reason why I don't have the offer as well?

If you go to the page I described below, it should show you the subscription options you have available.

I had a free 3 month of Spark Coach with the purchase of the book. Now that it's over, I can continue by providing my billing information, BUT - I have a hard time putting in my billing information when there is no indication anywhere of how much it will cost!

I'll probably never fill out that page unless it shows me what I'm agreeing to pay and my options (monthly/yearly).

Mary,

If you click on Account Settings at the bottom of the Welcome tab in SparkCoach, you can cancel from there.

I have been using Spark Coach for several months now and I'm starting to get a lot of repeated material. I would like to cancel my Spark Coach account now since there is nothing new to add. Can you please help me with this. Thank you.

I just signed up the other day for sparkcoach and now I find, because of my work schedule (3 jobs!), I just don't have time to log in and use it. Do I need to do anything at the end of the free trial so I'm not charged? Or does it just expire? Thank you.

Gotcha. Nope, you're only charged for time going forward. You wouldn't be charged for anything in the past.

I used the whole three months. My issue is that now that I want to pay for it for a couple of months, it says I owe those two months since when the free trial ran out, in other words, I owe for July and August. Will I be charged for those 2 months when I fork over my credit card number?

Thanks,

Hi Twila

If you signed up for that 3-month free trial, it ends 3 months from your start date- regardless of how often you access it. There's no way to go back and use the portion of it you didn't use, so if you want to sign up, you'd just have to register and pay the monthly fee going forward.

Hope that makes sense,

Coach Jen

A question. I bought the most recent book and received the three months of Spark Coach. I feel that it really centered me, helped me to be more accountable for everything I ate, focused my exercise, and led me to be a better and more supportive Spark Friend.

The three months ended precisely when I went on vacation. I haven't gotten back into my rhythm since then and was thinking about doing Spark Coach for two or three months.

I clicked on the red Coach button yesterday, and I get the impression that even though I hadn't set up the automatic renewal, that I will need to pay for these two months for which I did not have access regardless. Is this the case?

Please advise. As I said, I would like to purchase it for two or three months, but not pay for time I never intended to use it.

Thanks!

Can SparkCoach be modified to take my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome into account? I signed up for the free week and I'm telling y'all right now I cannot medically do that! But I'd love more one-on-one support from a coach.

Thank y'all! emoticon

Hello,

Our goal is to provide a great service at a value price to help more people reach their goals. So, the general price will be $8.99 per month. But, we might run different types of offers for the first month, or for 3-month packages for example. Also keep in mind you can get a completely free 1-week trial before paying anything or entering your credit card.

Be well,
Kelly

Normally, I am very reluctant to buy services such as this, but after the trial period, I knew that I was learning something every day so I stayed with the coaching programming and I am not sorry. If I every get to the point that I am not seeing any further benefit I will cancel.

Just out of curiosity - would my spark coach be able to look at my activity for nutrition and fitness and give me some pointers as to what needs to improve or change?

Hello,

Someone from your account signed into SparkCoach on January 14th from what I can tell. Hope this helps. You are not subscribed to it at this time and are not being charged for the resources. It doesn't appear that you have full access to SparkCoach at this time, though.

Be well,

Hi,

I am fairly new to spark people and just have a question: My spark coach check in page says that I am on "day 9" of my seven day free trial. What is up with that? I didn't sign up for spark coach and didn't give any financial info so is that just an error? Has anyone else had this happen?
