It's funny, when I read your message, I sat up straight immediately!!!

To the OP, thanks at least for clarifying that you apologize to those who have problems that don't allow them to "stop slouching."

Not everyone CAN "sit up straight."

I'm really hoping that once I strengthened my abs that sitting upright won't be a pain... and when my boobs lose weight. They hurt my back.

Got to admit, I'm always slouching. Posture was never something my mother cared about. Cleaning your plate was. Look where that got me!

My mom got on us about slouching when we were young. I make it a habit to sit straight. I get on my daughter about slouching.

That is something I need to do. I have such a horrible habit of slouching over the computer.

I even had a typing teacher that would walk around with a ruler and if you didn't have proper posture, she would smack you in the back with a ruler. And if your typing wasn't proper she would smack you on the knuckles. I don't know how she got away with hitting students. I hated her and should have told on her.

I'm not a sloucher thanks to years of music training. But it didn't stop me from having major back problems. They make me even more conscious of how I sit.

after our parents divorced, we lived for a year with mom's sister. We called her 'the drill sergeant'. She was always on sis and I about posture.

I do catch myself slouching sometimes, but I can still hear my aunt's voice yelling, "straighten up that back! Hold your head up!"

When my siblings and I were kids, if we slouched while sitting and Dad saw us we had a 3 foot wooden rule put down our backs to make us sit straight. He always said slouching causing back problems later in life. I am the youngest of 5, and am 60 years old.

I doubt the tatas are hanging to their knees, but good posture is important.

I have the posture of a beany baby. Thanks for the reminder.

And buy a good fitting bra!

It's sad to see women slouched over with their tatas hanging to their knees. It has to increase neck and back pain.

For those of you who can do it (if you have back problems, I apologize), I hope it reminded you to think more of your posture throughout the day~
