I have started not going to my house until I have completed my fitness walk. It makes me feel so much better.Four days now this strategy has worked

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday and had a ball. did a lot of walking and jumping on this bouncey thing, that worked up a sweat. I felt the burn. Today I have been painting my daughters room and some light house cleaning then we are going outside to take pictures. I have been doing pretty good on my diet. tomorrow is weigh in day so I will see.

Richard Bernstein M.D. who wrote "The Diabetes Solution" says that all obese people are Insulin Resistant and can benefit from taking Metformin to help with weight loss. I love his lectures on YouTube. He has had Type 1 diabetes since he was 12 and is a healthy 78 now. He says all obese people will get Type 2 diabetes if they continue to eat the America diet. The BBC documentary on YouTube "The Men Who Made Us Fat" is very interesting. It also explains why food makers push us to buy their junk food and how we have gotten so fat.

This is my birthday month. On October 3rd was my birthday and I weighed in at 230 lbs. I going to start tomorrow Oct.7 2013 my walking back. I want to start getting in the habit of walking again like I did a long time ago. I know I might have to start out slow and work up. My goal is to get to walking 5 miles a day, then work up to running.

I will walk starting out no less than 30 minutes.
At least 5 days a week. I will post my: minutes walked miles walked and steps. I will post how I feel after I walk and on the days I didn't walk I will post that as well.
So on til tomorrow. emoticon
