School has been overwhelming lately and I have been really bad at sticking to my goals. But I started my running program again tonight and it went amazingly good. I downloaded new songs to my iPod which really helped me feel motivated and able to keep going!! (the best one was Taylor Swift's new one (I Knew You Were Trouble - I love it!!). But I didn't realize how much I missed running until I got to my half way point (1.5 miles) and instead of feeling tired like usual, I felt GREAT! I was so happy to be running again. Usually my legs are tired and whining at me to quit but this time they felt almost numb. I couldn't feel pain in my whole body. I must have had some super endorphin thing going on. It felt so good!! And I got a much better time than usual and felt so energized and invigorated afterwards that I couldn't wait to go again. I've heard about runner's high before, but I've always heard that it comes somewhere after 7 miles or so. I haven't run that much yet so I wasn't planning on getting it anytime soon. But I felt so great tonight. I almost felt like I was on drugs. I feel like I could get addicted to running. It was the perfect start to my running program. :) I am just so glad that instead of dreading running like I have been lately, I am back to loving it!!!! I can't wait to run again tomorrow!!
