I use RunKeeper and C25K by Zen Labs...I heart both of them. I also really love Charity Miles. It's a good motivation to keep going!

I have tried Runtastic, Nike, and RunKeeper which all use a GPS and provide calorie burned, mileage splits, maps, and the ability to play my music in the background. I have opted to stick with RunKeeper because it syncs to MyFitnessPal and it allows me to program interval training (I used this when I was doing the C25K program).

My ultimate goal is to get myself a Garmin with a heartrate monitor. *sigh* One day.

I use map my fitness to keep track of my daily runs, but I started out with the couch to 5k spp which is wonderful. I really want to try the Zombies app though

I bought Zombies, Run! last weekend, and have since gone on the first three missions. I'm shocked to find that i actually look *forward* to running. I'm not sure if the motivation will stay as high as it is, but i think the "base building" game aspect is what will keep me going. Wanting to make the base bigger/better, and knowing the ONLY way to get the supplies/materials to do that is by running, will - i hope - keep me wanting to lace up the shoes and dodge those zoms. emoticon

I use and love both Zombies, Run! and Runkeeper (though now that I have a Garmin, I really just import my Garmin data into Runkeeper and don't have the app going during my runs). I'm thinking that just about any running app that tracks your route will eat up your data plan, though, as it has to keep pinging the satellite for the GPS.

Will have to check out this app, it sounds like it will be a good one.

I got the Zombies, Run! app too. I'm about half way through and I'm really enjoying it. The difficulty seems to be progressing at a good level and the story line combined with my music is a great distraction when I'm feeling tired.

I actually was going to post a threat about apps and saw this. I have been running regularly for about two years now, and I know I average at about 4-5 miles each run because I trail run and the trail is marked. However, I'm training for a half marathon and I want to be able to more accurately track my mileage, especially when I go off the trail.

My data plan isn't massive though, so I would appreciate an app that can run for an hour or two without eating up all my data for the month :)

I use runkeepers app. I like it because it tells me how far I have many calories I have burned. It also keeps a history of my runs.

I bought the Zombies, Run! 5K training app because I am trying to build up to running before I get the other app to run with. It is fun and a good helper to build up for running with someone who hasn't ran before.

Does anyone use an app to help motivate?
