Nice time!!

Did my first ever 5k in 29:54! Ran the entire way. Had to stop to retie my shoes twice. Can't believe I actually did it! emoticon

I want to thank everyone for their encouragement! And let you know that I ran 2 miles in 24 minutes today! I had to walk 3 times, but only for a short distance. There were 3 hills that I'm not quite able to make it up yet. That's my next goal.

Great work.

You might want to check a Couch to 5K program to extend your running distance further. www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness_artic

I ran almost a mile before I started walking for the first time in 20+ years! Feel extremely good today! Can't wait to say I ran the whole mile! Could not have done it without Sparkpeople. emoticon
