Mannie, you're correct that a woman shouldn't eat fewer than 1200 calories/day, but it's important to note that 1200 is the minimum for *sedentary* women. With the amount you are exercising, it's likely that your minimum is considerably higher.

Thank you Renataruns :) that was very helpful i think im gonna just consintrate on eating right. im just not sure where to begin... i heard women are not supposed to go under 1200 calories so i might try that and maybe that will keep me from eating so much on the weekends

You need more regular habits, right? To even out the undereating and the overeating? There's nothing for it than just to do it, right? Increase portions or add in a meal when you're normally not eating, and take it from there. And try to figure out why and how you're eating so much on weekends, so that you're ok with transferring those calories to the rest of the week.

I agree you may not be overweight at all (well technically you are not with BMI 24 but you know what I mean) -- check your body fat. If that's on the high side for your age then maybe a 10 pound loss would be appropriate, but with how much you say you've been working out, it might be perfectly normal in which case you're fine and just concentrate on how you eat and not how much (per week).

Hi Mannie

Hopefully you know that 600-800 calories per day is dangerous to your health, so I would focus on eating more and making good food choices. If you take a look at the bottom of your nutrition tracker, you'll see your recommended calorie and nutrient ranges. Start small by tracking your food to see where you need to make changes. Don't feel like you have to make drastic changes all at once, but even small things (swapping water for soda, adding some healthy snacks to your day) can lead to big results. So few calories with so much exercise isn't sustainable.

I would also recommend having your body fat tested. When you're so close to your goal and already at a healthy weight for your height, body fat is going to be a better indicator of whether or not you really need to lose more.

Hi my name is Mannie and i have terrible eating habits i fast then i eat too much and i really just want a regular diet wher i is balanced and that will not make me put weight on normally i eat 600/800 calories a day and exercise 6 days a week but over eat on the weekends. Im 5'4" and weigh 140 my BMI is 24 but i would like to lose maybe 5-10 lbs I dont even know if thats possible or if i just need to tone up i feel like im over weight. Please help any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mannie :)
