For yellow rice, it depends how it's prepared.... I make a yellow rice that is 215 calories for 3/4 of a cup because it's not just rice boiled in water... I started with 1.5 cups of uncooked rice, then saute it in 2tbsp butter and turmeric and cumin and then 2.5 cups of low sodium chicken broth instead of and cook it that way instead of in water. Some recipes I've seen use olive oil instead of the butter, or use more butter.
