That's a great idea! Unfortunately money is really tight for me right now. Does anyone have any ideas for non-monetary rewards along the same lines?

My first small rewards are going to be things that will enable me to keep the excitement with the program, even though they may not be the smallest things pricewise: first on the list is a new digital scale, new clothes to work out in, maybe some kettle balls to add something new to the routine, etc. And small rewards are for the small steps of progress, like now I have a goal of 2-4 pounds til the end of January. I have found making the goals too big and too distant gets too discouraging. Rewards are great motivators though. I have already pledged to myself: No new clothes until 10 pounds are gone!! (I do cheat and get things at a consignment store sometimes.. =)
"My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in me, whom I have from God, and I am not my own. For I have been bought at a price, therefore I will glorify God in my body and in my spirit, which are God's." (paraphrase of I Cor. 6:19-20

I have added a reward system to my weight loss plan.
For every 5 lbs lost I will schedule a facial and
At 5 lbs - I will buy a new trench coat At 10 lbs down - I will buy new dress shirts At 15 lbs down - I will buy a hairdryer I've been wanting At 20 lbs down - I will buy a new pair of jeans At goal weight (23 lbs down) - I will cut and color my hair - it's too long, but I'm making myself keep it until goal : )
Then as long as I stay within 2 pounds of goal - each month I will continue to schedule a facial
