Just weighed myself! I'm down to 164.6lbs from 170lbs! Way to motivate right?

Tomorrow is my weigh-in! I finally got my scale working again and I'm anxious to step on it. It's been a full week since I started tracking my food and I'm hoping that I've managed to lost a few pounds, also with the help of the Decarber. The weather in NYC right now isn't that great and I think I'm coming down with a cold. Here I come cup of hot black tea with a squeeze of lemon!

So it is day 3 of my lifestyle change. I've been drinking the Decarb GCX as directed and I would like to give an update on my weight but as I think I mentioned before I have no batteries for my scale. I will be getting new batteries this weekend so I guess I'll give an updated weigh-in on Monday. I haven't been feeling as hungry in these recent days so I've actually consumed less calories than I would normally on any diet. Sometimes I wouldn't even hit the 1,000 mark, at least with my calculations. So I'll be adding a protein shake to my daily foods to make up for any lost calories and nutrients since I don't really like eating less than 1,200 calories a day. Besides my decrease in appetite I've also been fairly alert. I can't say I noticed any inches fall off but then again it has only been 3 days. I don't think it is possible to lose an inch in 3 days? Time to buy a measuring tape! I also made my first recipe today on Sparkrecipes! That was very exciting for me, being that I am normally very self conscious about what I eat [made by me] and sharing that with others. Here's a link to the recipe if you wish to check it out: http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-deta
il.asp?recipe=2419845.

Well that's all I've got for today! I'm going to go practice now [steno] and probably hit my thread-climber when my father goes to bed. Goodnight!

My DD had to go to court to get an order against an abusive boyfriend, and I watched the Court Reporter working away. That is a GOOD job, so u r smart to get into that field. I tell my children "You have to have a JOB SKILL that other people can't just walk into from the street and do the job." My son's gf got her AA in Paralegal and then went on to get her BS in government. Then she got hired at a large bank. She plans to do her MBA now as they will pay for her classes.

Stay away from SUGAR and high starch foods so u don't have cravings.

Change has never been easy for me and seriously when is it for anyone? My name is Shazeena and I just turned 23 about a month ago. Hitting 170lbs really knocked me off my feet and brought me to a harsh realization: what was I doing with my life? Not only did I hit my heaviest but I wasn't in school, I was being a leech to my boyfriend [Jake] and getting mad at him for trying to be independent, and ignoring my friends to spend every waking moment with Jake. Basically, I was becoming my worse nightmare! I decided then, revamp time! With Jake's recent success on graduating college with a Bachelor's in Marine Biology/Deck License I realized I needed to make a move. I enrolled into a college and started stenography classes January 28th pursuing a degree as a Court Reporter. Next up was tackling my weight and leeching issues. My leeching issue was easily fixed, by what? Realization. My weight problem however, not so easily fixed. And that's where I stand right now. I've enrolled with Sparkpeople to make a change in myself.

So far I've been tracking what I've been eating and I've been doing decent. Early this morning I was speaking with my mother and noticed something on the kitchen table. A few months back my father bought this nutritional supplement called Decarb GCX but he never used it. I picked it up and read the box, green tea extract! I remember watching a Dr. Oz show where he promoted its use in dieting and all over health. So I've started taking it and will be updating on how it works for me. It is basically a bottle of a herbal liquid that you mix with 8-12oz of water. It kind of tastes like iced-tea with a bitter end twist. Not bad to get used to. It says to drink the mixture 20 minutes before each meal so we'll see how it goes. So far I've only drank it with breakfast.

Thank you all for reading and I hope you all have a great day! If you have any questions regarding the Decarb GCX feel free to ask, I'll try to answer your questions as best I can. I'll also update my progress, as well as mood with the product since it does contain caffeine. I'll have to reread the label to see exactly how much but I know it's definitely a lot less than a cup of coffee.
