You can and will take those 20 pounds off!

Get back to the basics of eating for gastric bypass. Remember the early days? Also you might want to check into doing a 5 day pouch test. Do not worry. Your little pouch is still there, and it will be a wonderful tool to help you!

Don't sweat it.. You hit a rough patch got a bit turned around and now everything is calm again so look at it as a fresh go of it! your slate is clean start right now this exact moment and drink a glass of water.. you obviously know what to do you've done it so just do it again and before you know it that 20 pounds will be a memory really don't stress.. no one will judge you everyone slips up :) good luck

I am sorry for your loss. Unfortunately grief can play some nasty tricks on us :-(

What I suggest is that whatever advice re nutrition/exercise that you were given from the Surgical Team who did your Bypass, you start again. It isn't too late!!

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Grieving the loss of a loved one is never easy.

Don't beat yourself up because you've regained some weight. that's something that has happened to every single member of Spark People at one time or another. We're all experts at gaining, losing and regaining the weight. That was the past. You can't change the past, but you can influence and change the future.

I give all new members one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". if the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction.

I know that drinking water isn't easy. It does take time to get used to. but have you tried adding a squeeze of lemon or lime ? You might try drinking your water with a bit of lemon or lime juice for some flavor. one squeeze of lemon won't a lot of calories. If you don't want to do that, try sparkling waters like Adirondak, Perrier, Poland Springs, etc... there are lots of companies that make very tasty flavored waters. You might try those to help you ease into drinking water.

It took me a while, but these days I'm either drinking water or tea. Do you like tea ? If so, drinking tea will help you get your water in too.

Mostly, you can't let the opinions of other people bother you. As Eleanor Roosevelt once said,"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent"

I have gained 20 lbs after my daddy died last July. It is hard for me to get enough water in me. I exercise a few times a week. With so many life changes my eating has been mindless. My son is finally getting all the services we have asked for. Everyone is fine and I look around and I have gained 20 lbs. I dont eat fast foods. I dont eat junk. I eat a lot of raw cashews and nuts.
I dont drink enough water...I stay dehydrated...My supplements are taken daily and my labs are perfect. There is a lot of judgement with regain after such an expensive procedure. I am trusting the universe that the right people will be drawn to this post/video and reach out to me.
I am needing support...acceptance....guidance
