Hi, I am not a new member of SparkPeople, I joined over a year ago and fell off the grade so to speak. The past two weekds I have been recomminting myself to Myself! Your post is very much the way I have been thinking lately. This website may just be the best thing that has ever happened to me for my weight loss journey. It is nice being here.

I enjoyed reading your post. I like how you mentioned that you have support of family and friends. I feel like I have been "trying" to diet in secret, or at least alone. Maybe getting family and friends on board will help me, too. Unlike you, I feel pretty bad about my weight at the moment, so again your post was helpful because it reminded me that I don't need to feel bad, I just need to take better care of myself and ask my friends for support. Sigh.

Hi everyone! In the three years after I graduated college I managed to lose about 20 pounds. I loved how I felt and was committed to making sure I was happy and healthy all around, not just with weight. Last year I lost that commitment and even though I was still exercising regularly I gained the 20 pounds back. I don't feel fat or horrible about myself, but I remember what I used to feel and the confidence I had and I want that back. I am borderline obese now and want to get to a healthier weight. Luckily I have the support of family and friends who understand what I want and are supportive of that. They also have their own weight and fitness goals, so it helps to work toward achievement together. I hope to become active in the Spark community and take advantage of the resources here.
