One of the best ways to stay accountable is to be active on your Spark Teams. Plus, that's a good way to meet Spark Friends with similar interests or challenges. Hello, fellow SparkPeople! My name is Skyler. I am a twenty year old college student looking to lose about 80 pounds. It's a big goal, but I know I can do it. I've struggled with my weight since I was a child, and I've tried many times to turn it all around, but I've only lost five or ten pounds at a time before giving up and going back to my old ways. Now, weighing in at around 250 pounds, I'm ready to make permanent changes that won't just help me lose weight, but that will also help me live a more fulfilling and healthy life. My motivation and determination are stronger than ever. I am ready to fight for this!
Here's a little more about me: I'm engaged to an amazing woman named Gabrielle. We've been dating for nearly five years, and I proposed in November. I want to outwardly look like the person I know I really am on the inside on our wedding day. This plays a large part in my motivation to lose weight and get healthy. We are both enrolled full time in college, studying Liberal Studies. I aim to begin a career as a book editor as soon as I graduate with a degree in English/Creative Writing. My hobbies include reading, writing (both prose and poetry), drawing, jamming to music, and photography.
I would love to have some people on this website to occasionally give me a push when I really need it, and I will, of course, do the same. I'm a pretty optimistic guy, and I believe in encouragement through positive reinforcement. I'm also on this site 2-3 times a day to track food/exercise.
