emoticon So glad you've joined us! May I suggest that you join a team or two of folks with similar interests? That usually helps me to keep myself motivated. Set some short and long term goals. Then, set about to accomplish them. Post how you are doing on your teams. In no time, you'll be invested in yourself!!

Wishing you GREAT success!!

Hi and welcome aboard! I guarantee you will not be disappointed in your decision in joining Sparkpeople (if you do it right)! I will admit the results will vary due to your efforts and your honesty towards yourself. I do wish you the best in your Sparkpeople journey and if you should need some words of encouragement or motivation, hit me up as a Spark-friend? If you have any questions; feel free to send me a spark-mail. If you have some spare time, please visit my spark-page and read some of my spark-blogs (located on the right hand side of my Spark-page). Also please take a look at my Spark-page Photo album and witness a true transformation of my accomplishments –Before and Recent). If you have any problems of seeing my Spark page; shoot me a Spark-mail and I’ll add you as a friend. There may be some confusion about my attendance. I have been in since 2009, but like others, I have fallen off the wagon and went missing. However, I just recently joined back up (1/23/13) and I am dead serious about it this time around! So if you are serious about achieving your weight goal; you are invited to ride along with me to accomplish it and if not; that is okay too! Again, I wish you the best! Now, enough reading; it is time for you to go accomplish your goals (Ooorah)!

Welcome to Spark People. I am really glad that you truly decided to take this journey. It is hard but worth every drop of blood, sweat and tears. It sounds cliche but you will have all of them, hopefully not all at the same time. Fortunately you will also find joy and laughter, confidence and understanding. Let your light shine through. emoticon

I am a 28 y/o single mother who is tired of being overweight and unhealthy. I have always been on the plus size, but when I saw that my daughter was starting to take the same path that I went down, I definitely knew it was time for a very important change. I have already began going to the doctor regularly to check on my vitals and blood work every month and have lost 26 pounds since March, but don't feel like I'm touching on everything possible to help me towards a healthier lifestyle for my family and I. I joined sparks people last year, but wasn't being serious about changing. But now, I can confidently say that I want to change my eating habits, I want t work towards a healthier life for my daughter and I am willing to say "I need help!!" Weight loss is not something that is best done on your own, so I am seeking out others who want to embark on this journey to a happier and healthier self.
