Wonderful. Get your husband the book by Richard Bernstein M.D. "The Diabetes Solution" and ask him to read it. (I got a copy from the college library.)
Ask him to listen to the lectures on diabetes from Richard Bernstein M.D. on YouTube. Dr. Bernstein has had Type 1 diabetes since he was 12 and he was told he'd not live past 42, but he is 78 today and very healthy. Most of the patients he treats are Type 2 diabetics. He says ALL obese people are Insulin Resistant and will get Type 2 diabetes unless they change their lifestyle. I learned so much from reading his books.

I think I hoped he'd see it was doable - yet he still chooses to let the pills do the work and keep his diseases in check. He did ask me today what my total weight loss was and how I felt... Maybe, there is a spark there. Hoping...
