From the information I have found on various sites it helps raise your metabolism, helps your body process fats as well as burn stored fats.
As for the gas silencing... I love it! LOL... it's no fun when you work in the public and as your standing there with a customer you pass a silent (or not so silent) deadly one ... it may be funny as hell but not fun LOL!
The man at GNC told me that Raspberry Ketones appear to work because they shrink or compress fat cells, but they don't eliminate them... when you stop taking the ketones, the fat cells puff back up again.

I was curious, but couldn't find.. Guess it's just as well.

I take them but I don't use them as a "magic pill". I watch what I eat, exercise and take the raspberry keytones in order to help with my metabolism and energy level. (I work long hours on my feet). So far the only 'side effect' I have had is a very good reduction of flatulence (it's an old lady thing lol).

I wouldn't want to depend on something not readily available. Exercise, veggies, fruits, and meat will hopefully always be.
I agree with the previous posters who said to save your money. Products like these might help while you take them but as soon as you stop the weight comes right back. You're better off to just stick with a healthy diet and regular exercise, no magic pills needed.
They work but you have to take them religiously, and make sure you're buying the ones with at least 76% potency, otherwise you're just wasting your money. Green coffee bean extract also works, again make sure you're getting one that has a good potency.
There have been numerious threads on raspberry ketones, including one earlier this week, if not yesterday. There's a search function at the top of the messageboard, try to that to see if you find the info you're after.
