I have plenty of distractions so not all day, necessarily, but I am easily swayed into thinking about food. For example, I am traveling to Disneyland in a couple of weeks, and I am very fixated on all the good eats I'll have access to while I'm there. I truly love food!

Yes! Does that mean I have a food addiction? Sometimes all I look forward to is what I will be eating for my next meal. Shhhhhh!

I don't think about food unless I am cooking and trying to figure out if I have everything I need on hand. Otherwise I only think of food when my stomach tells me its time to eat. Lately I haven't even wanted to eat much because my stomach has been temperamental and I don't care to deal with the unpleasantness.

I've found that when I am trying to be "good" and eat the right things and stay in my calorie range, it's necessary to think about food quite a bit. However I don't daydream about what I could eat or what I am going to eat (unless I'm really hungry).

I think about food way too much. When I am full, I wish that I wasn't full so that I could eat more. That's pretty sad, I think. I really like the taste of food, so it's not all emotional, but there are a thousand reasons why I eat that aren't just because I need nourishment! I'm trying to change this, but it's very difficult! So, yes, I think about food A LOT!

Nope, never. I didn't get fat because of bad food habits or emotional eating though, so maybe that is the difference.

If you are eating a reasonable number of calories and still thinking about food all day ...
maybe your system is still fighting it's addiction to sugar, salt, and fat
maybe you need to get involved in more activities you enjoy

I do think about food way too much in my opinion. It's not that I'm hungry but always planning the next meal in my head, counting calories in my head, thinking about meal planning for the week, etc, etc. I always thought people who do not have a weight problem do not think about food all the time but I never asked as I did not want to admit to my obsessive food thoughts.

I think it is normal to think about food most of the time, even for people who are not concerned with weight or fitness issues.

Food is good. Keeps us alive. Makes us happy. Some people in the world think about food all the time because they don't have enough of it and have to work and plan constantly to obtain it

Yea, I do think about food mostly all day, every day.

Absolutely I do! I've been at my goal weight for several years, and I'm always thinking about food. At this point, I'm at peace with that fact.

No I really don' has been merely a source of energy for me. I very rarely get excited about food only when I am really hungry....other than that, I could eat the same oatmeal 3 times a day.

I spend a lot of time trying NOT to think about food. So I guess that means I think about it a lot. Hmmmmm....

Of course I do. I'm always thinking about what to fix for dinner or a dessert for my husband. I collect cookbooks and I'm always going through them trying to get ideas. Plus there is the Food Channel where they make preparing a dish look so easy.

YES! I'm either thinking about what I'm going to have, what I can't have, or what I have to do to work off what I did have.

I do love thinking about food but I love to cook and bake. Collecting recipes and trying new things is really fun, but the past year or so has been a bit tight money wise which makes it a bit less enjoyable! I think if you're just starting out with your journey you think about all the food you "can't have" but once you've got going that should fizzle out a bit.
