Thanks, everyone! I couldn't believe it when I checked Runkeeper to see my pace, and then again when the official results were posted. It definitely gave me some more motivation to keep at it with my training runs.

That's amazing progress, a GREAT timed race, and how fun to run w/ your kids?
I've done 2 5K's now and I hope to get a time like yours someday...

That is awesome! Sounds like you worked really hard and are reaping the benefits! I did Couch to 5K as well, but I am still looking to break a 10-minute mile time! Great work!!! What a cool way to celebrate Mother's Day, too.

I started the C25K program almost exactly a year ago (May 24, 2012, to be exact), and I was slooooow! My first 5k, back in August, was something like 45 minutes. I've been steadily improving since then, and relatively recently have been able to manage a 10-minute mile without too much trouble. So my new goal became to break that 30-minute milestone.

Yesterday, I ran the Run Like a Mother 5k (and got to cross the finish line with my kids, which made it even more special), and managed it in exactly 28:00! My pace was 9:01/mile! I am beyond ecstatic and had to share! :)
