hey everyone. I am always on a 1 day lag huh? Sorry I am a bit late. Well this weekend did really good. stayed on track. No exercise though. Thought I'ld take a break. But my daughter told me that her dad walked her to school this morning instead of driving. I am so proud of my hubby :)

Happy Monday, everyone! This weekend felt like it went by in a flash! I did okay this weekend. I've def had worse. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and I'm very interseted (and scared) to see what their scale says! Have a great week, everyone!

Sorry I didn't wiegh in yesterday. I work at 5am during the week so come Friday I am pooped :)
So I weighed in and I am at 172 yeah!!! I am so excited to be losing anything. It's really hard for me to loose weight so any amount is good. My goal is to be at 168 eom! I hope I get it. Libby-congrates on getting your husband to do the 5K. I am very happy for you both. And way to go on the 2lbs. Just remember it doesn't matter where you've been, it matters where you are going and you are going down and that is what is important right? Anyways see you all on Monday.

Libby that is great you got him to do the 5k with you! It took a lot of persuading to get him to commit but he is doing it and he is really motivated! He is even going to do the meal plan that sparkpeople provides! So I weighed myself today and it said I was 145 but my scale is acting up. The weight on it keeps changing so I don't know if it's the battery or if it's the scale. I'm going to buy another battery and see if that's it. I'll weigh myself again tomorrow and see if it's the same but for now I'll just take the 145 because that was the highest it showed! Good luck everyone else! Congrats Libby on the 2 pounds! That's great! Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday, everyone! It's been a long week, and I'm SO glad it's almost the weekend! I did my weigh-in today and lost 2 pounds this week. Its great that I'm starting to lose again, but it frustrates me to think that I'm trying to get back down to where I was before the holidays. Oh well. At least the scale is going down!

Welcome back, Kissygurl, and happy 21st! Way to get your bf to join. My husband won't do it, but I did manage to get him to register for a 5K with me... so that's a start. Yeah, the first weigh-in can be scarey after an extended break. I didn't do very well last week, but it feels really good to be back on track! Good luck tomorrow, everyone!

Hi everyone! So I'm finally back and ready to start full force! I had a very busy weekend! I celebrated my 21st all weekend so I'm sure I've gained back everything I lost especially with the holidays! Oh well...time to loose it all again. I also got my boyfriend to join which I'm super excited about! I'll weigh in on Friday to see how bad I did! lol! I hope everyone is having a GREAT week!

Hey, Tif. I responded to your spark mail (also under your husband's page, I think). Next week I am going to register for a 5K that is also in May, so we can buddy up for the training process!

ha ha I posted a message under my husbands page. Oh well I bet everyone got the idea. I didn't do so well this weekend either Libby so I wouldn't worry. But I have done well so far this week. I have worked out both Mon and now Tues. And my eating has been really good. We will see on Friday right? Take care.

Hi, all! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I didn't do so well on Sunday, but I'm back in the saddle again (I'm not too tough on myself on the weekends, anyway). Hopefully I'll have some good news on Friday, after gaining so much back so quickly. Good luck to everyone this week, and I'll check in on Friday!

Purcell - Congrats on your loss! I wish I could blame posession on my scale, too!

Weigh-in today! I took a HUGE step back! This sucks. I am almost back to where I was when I started. But, I guess I should just look at this like it's a road bump, and not an implosion. Hopefully next week will have better results!

Hey, Tif! Welcome to the group! It looks like we have very similar goals! We usually check in on Monday and do a weigh-in on Fridays. We used to have more people... hopefully some are just waiting until the first weigh-in of the new year. Good Luck!

Its good to hear from you, and happy birthday! I would def not diet on my 21st, either! I'm glad you responded though. For a while there I was afraid that I was talking to myself. So... I'll hear from you on Monday check-in! Thanks for the good luck... weigh-in will not be pretty.

Libby you definetely are not the only one who was waiting for the holidays! I was too! I'm not starting back up again until sunday! My 21st birthday was on Tuesday so I'm celebrating Friday and Saturday. After that...no more excuses! I'm ready to buckle down and get fit so I won't dread bathing suit season! lol! The good thing is that my boyfriend is going on a diet too so that should make it A LOT easier on me! Good luck with weigh in on Friday!

Okay. Hopefully I am not the only one who was just waiting for the holidays to be over to take my diet seriously again. It looks like this thread has been dead for awhile! But hopefully we can resurrect it! I'm ready to start all over again. I'm not sure how much I gained back over the holidays... and I'm terrified of my weigh-in on Friday... but I figure from here on out, I have no more excuses! So hello again, ladies... and good luck in the new year.

Kissy, I was wondering the same thing about Lucki! Hopefully she'll join us again in a few weeks. I've decided to concentrate on maintaining what I have lost so far, and go into complete losing overdrive after the holidays. I'm still planning on checking in every week, just to keep me grounded. Hope you Christmas party was fun... ours was a blast!

Hi Everyone! I hope everyone had an excellent weekend! I had my Christmas party on Saturday too Libby! Just like you I'm not going to ruin the holidays because Im too focused on how many calories are in the foods that I'm eating. I am trying to watch myself at work on the weekdays but it is so hard. Hopefully I will be back on track after the New Year's!

What happened to Lucky? Is she just waiting until after the holidays?

Good to hear from you, KissyGurl!

The holidays are SUCH a hard time on my end, too... food and lots of drinks. We are throwing a Christmas party this weekend... so Saturday will be filled with even more food and liquor than usual! Ugh.

I'm just giving myself a few days this month to not care. Otherwise, I'm going to try to stick with my plan. I figure that I don't want to ruin my holidays worrying about how many calories are in the mashed potatoes, or wondering if I can fit just one more cosmo into my calorie count. Not fun for anyone. But as for the regular weekdays, I'll just have to say no to whatever treats my coworkers bring into the office!

I know... easier said than done. If I followed this all the time, I wouldn't be at this weight in the first place!

Hi everyone! How is everyone's week? I unfortunately did not weigh in last week. Like Libby...I haven't felt very motivated either! I've just been so busy with Christmas parties, birthdays, and family functions that I don't have time to excercise and it's hard watching what I eat at other people's parties! The holidays are really effecting my goals. Hopefully I can get back on track and loose some weight by my birthday in January. As sad as this sounds...I'm a little anxious for the holidays to just be done with!! I need to get a new battery for my scale so I will probably be weighing in on Saturday. I'm sure I gained a few pounds because of the last couple of weeks! Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the week!

I have found a good way to stay motivated for myself. I have made a "sticker challenge" (it is in the challenges section if you want to join us). I made up a chart with 4 catigories for each day. They include: water, food, exercise, and weights. If I do each of these catigories I get a sticker for each. Each sticker counts for $.25 and, in addition, if I have 25/28 at the end of the week then I buy myself a "prize". So far it is working great! I really want to earn my stickers.

Good job on the weight loss Jessica! I got pretty unmotivated last week. I didn't do well with food choices, and skipped the weigh-in completely! Ugh. I just need to get motivated again, and nothing seems to be working. Hopefully eating well for the next few days will get me back on track!

Hi, everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend. I'm not quite as diligent on keeping track on the weekends, but my food choices weren't terrible (could have been better, though. I need to bite the bullet and take charge of my weekends).

I'm actually asking for a scale for Christmas, too. I have an old one that I got in college, and I want to go digital, even though those numbers may end up scaring me!

Jessica, your one pound gain could be attributed to many things. It could be muscle gain, but it could also be the time of day you weighed yourself. Weight natually fluctuates during the day, depending on what you eat or drink... and I'm guessing you were dressed (unless you go to an all nude grocery store), which can make an amazing difference. So don't be discouraged!

Have a wonderful week, everyone! I'm doing my weigh in on Thursday this week, because I'll be out of town on Friday! Good luck!

I weighed myself at the store yesterday. It didn't go as well as I would have liked. I was up one pound. This is quite frustrating since I did so, so well this week. Oh well, I'll just keep going. It could have been muscle gain right? How did everyone do on the weekend?

hi everyone - like jessica, i don't own a scale either, but i have been very diligent in watching my food intake and making the right choices. i visited my son and daughter in law this weekend and did very well in my food choices and my daughter and husband both commented in subtle differences since i started sp two weeks ago. in one of my christmas shopping trips i will be buying a scale. what a great christmas gift. i guess it is better than a vacuum.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a FANTASTIC week! emoticon Jessica!!

Lucki don't be discouraged...I am also guilty of not tracking my calorie intake everyday. I've just been so busy with the holidays and working that I just haven't found time. I've been watching what I am eating though and lost a pound which I'm happy about since I have been slacking so much. I also haven't been going to the gym and I hope to get back into the habit tomorrow!

emoticon Libby on loosing what you gained! That's great! You go girl! Love the picture by the way!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

I didn't weigh in today since I didn't get a chance to go to the store. I will be there some time this weekend so I will share any updates then. Good job to those of you who lost. For those who didn't: keep going, you will see results soon enough as long as you keep up the good work.

Don't get discouraged, Lucki. I agree that tracking food isn't something that I want to do forever. I don't bother on the weekends, but I use what I've learned from the site, and pay attention to labels (when they are available). Hopefully you can find a happy medium! I lost the weight that I gained last week, and I'm back at 165. That's the number that I've always had a hard time breaking... so we'll see next week! Good luck at the grocery store, Jessica!

hi everyon i have been having alot of issues lately with gaining back a little weight. I stopped tracking my food intake and i think thats why i have been gaining. but i dont want to have to get online morning noon and night everyday for the rest of my life in order to maintain a healthy weight. i will try to back on track. my goal day is approaching and I dont think that I will make my original goal of 145 by dec. 19 especially since i currently weigh 158.

Lucki and Libby....we will just have to work extra hard to get it off and keep it off! I hope you guys all had a wonderful Thanksgiving...mine was a little too good! lol! Unfortunately I didn't get to do the shopping..I worked the grave yard shift last night and I was definetely too tired to go anywhere after I got off of work. I'll probably go tomorrow! I'm going to take it easy this weekend, and start with a clean slate on Monday. It just sucks that I will have to work hard to re-lose the weight that I gained this week. I feel so gross!
