I have used equal amounts of applesauce instead of oil in many baking recipes. It comes out just fine. No one can tell , it tastes no different !!

Applesauce is one way and I would use a cup of apple sauce and 1/3 cup of oil. The other substiution is plain pumpkin. Neither changes the taste. The pumpkin might give the texture you want, but I would have to try it to see.
I have a blueberry quick bread recipe that calls for 1 1/3 cup vegetable oil. As you can imagine I want to cut way back on the oil. If I sub some of the oil with apple sauce how much can I get away with and still have good texture? Thanks
