I love the Designer Whey, too - I mix mine in coconut milk, almond milk, a blend, or sometimes just water in a pinch. They have good flavors, but I use the vanilla a lot and add some sugar-free DaVinci syrup in whatever flavor takes my fancy at the moment. Yummy stuff!

I get the Designer Whey protein powder I find at Trader Joe's. I've only tried the french vanilla but I think I've seen chocolate there too.
I throw 2 handfuls of baby spinach in my blender, then 1 scoop of the powder, 1 cup frozen strawberries, and 1 cup skim milk (and sometimes like 1/3 of a banana if I have it). You could do it without the spinach if that scares you, but you can really barely taste it. Just tastes like a strawberry shake to me!

That is a good question on Protein powder. Happened to tune into Dr. Oz one day (I do NOT do that regularly) but when I do, it always seems to be something I can use. That day he was discussing different protein powders. The best I thought was Egg White Protein Powder. Having used that before....I have to say, it is one of the best dissolving!

Protein powders are a matter of personal taste and I know I had to go through quite a few to find one I liked. I've found Spirutein and Nectar taste okay to me. The best one I have found is Unjury which is a medical quality protein powder you can get online. They are a little more expensive but the quality of protein is high and they mix very easily. They also have chicken soup and unflavored varieties in case you just can't take another sweet one.
ON 100% Gold Standard Whey Vanilla, add skim milk and PB2 (peanut butter powder).

I put 16oz of skim milk, one whole banana, and 1/2 cup slim fast chocolate, and 1 scoop of protein powder in a blender. It comes out just like a smoothie from Planet Smoothie.

I have been using protein powder on and off and can not seem to make it taste good or have a decent texture.
I am currently using one by Vega in vanilla but it doesn't desolve well and stays chunky in almond milk. I have also tried blending it but this makes it harder for me to gulp down and has a chalky texture.
What do you guys do with your protein powder to make it palatable?
