Egg whites. The fat and cholesterol are in the yolks. Cottage cheese might be another choice. Beef jerky for meat without the cooking requirement. I'm also a fan of protein powder. I love me some proatmeal (oatmeal with protein powder mixed in). I prefer the chocolate. Chocolate proatmeal is fantastic.

I'm not obsessed with protein by any means, but I do eat a high vegetable diet and am not keen on cooking meat and struggle to meet my protein ration. I Like eggs and seafood, shrimps, etc, but when I eat these, my food tracker invariably says that I have exceeded my Cholesterol count.

Are there any recommendations for high protein foods that don't cause me to exceed either my fat, calorie or cholesterol count?

Many thanks

Jonathan

I've never heard of age specific protein recommendations. If whatever guidelines you're using say you're getting enough, that's probably fine. Although the US RDA for protein is pretty low, IMO.

I am 45, should I try to load up on my protein intake as I age? I am asking to gather input, it seams like I just do not eat enough.
