Prayer for Marriage

Most gracious God, we give you thanks for your tender love in sending Jesus Christ to come among us, to be born of a human mother, and to make the way of the cross to be the way of life.

We thank you, also, for consecrating the union of man and woman in his Name.
By the power of your Holy Spirit, pour out the abundance of your blessing upon this man and this woman.
Defend them from every enemy.
Lead them into all peace.
Let their love for each other be a seal upon their hearts, a mantle about their shoulders, and a crown upon their foreheads.
Bless them in their work and in their companionship; in their sleeping and in their waking; in their joys and in their sorrows; in their life and in their death.
Finally, in your mercy, bring them to that table where your saints feast for ever in your heavenly home; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer For Forgiveness

Lord Jesus,

I am sorry for my sins, I renounce Satan and all his works, And I give you my life. I accept you whom I’ve just received in communion. I now receive and accept you as my personal Lord and my personal Savior, and as we just prayed, fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Amen.

Webster’s dictionary defines it as the ability to give relief. How nice would it be to relieved of holding an unnecessary grudge. Is there someone that you need to call? Try being forgiving today and see how many doors open.

Prayer for the Holiday Season

Father, I want this holiday season to one that is filled with light instead of darkness. Please help me discard my emotional masks and be real before You as well as with my family and friends. Give me the courage to be obedient to You in every holiday setting. Give me eyes to see those You bring into my life that need my encouragement because they are on the same journey. Father, prepare and enable me to make this holiday season an offering of praise to You. In Jesus’s name

Prayer of the Day: Believing

Father, thank You for Your mighty promises. Your word is a lamp unto my feet. Like Peter walking on the water, I want to step out on Your word and stand above the circumstances around me. I am sorry for the times I have allowed the concerns of this world to speak louder to me, than the truth of Your word. I choose right now to align myself with Your word, trusting in Your faithfulness. I hold up Your mighty promises and Your commandments as the standard of my life.

I thank You that, “Not one of Your good promises has ever failed.” I proclaim my complete trust in Your promises and my obedience to Your commands. I pray as King David did, “Oh that my ways may be established To keep Thy statutes!” Strengthen my faith, Lord, that I might honor You as I stand on Your promises.

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

Joshua 21:45 “Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass.”

2 Peter 1:4 “For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of [the] divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.”

1 Peter 2:9 “But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR [God's] OWN POSSESSION, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light…”

Your word says, 'You are a very present help in times of trouble...' My friends needs Your help right now, for this is a time of trouble for them. Please let Your Presence become very real to them.

I ask that you would lift the heaviness of their heart, and that You would bear their burden of sorrow and begin to exchange it for peace and hope. Father, shower them with unexpected tokens of Your love, so they would know how much You really do care.

God, we do not understand suffering, but we are grateful that You have promised to be with us in the midst of it. Let Your words be a comfort to my friends in this time of tears. 'Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.' In Jesus mighty name. Amen

Prayer of the day

"A Prayer For Seeing The Big Picture"

Father, there is much that we can learn from our temporal problems here on earth that better prepares us for eternity. As we work through these troubles, they enable us to have the mind of Christ so that attitudes reflecting the fruit of the Spirit become a spontaneous response to the difficulties that challenge us daily. Just as light, soil, air and moisture are requirements for growth in vegetation so must faith, prayer, self-denial and persistence in obeying God's Holy Word be requirements for growth in our Christian walk. Help us not to become so caught up in viewing our daily challenges from an earthly perspective that we lose the view of our future home in heaven following the storms we weather here below. We stand in the strength of the Lord Jesus and in the power of His might. Amen
