As a woman who is on there in years, who medically can't do inversions anymore, and who needs cardio a LOT more than she needs yoga because of Diabetes Type 2 ... it strikes me about the differing orientations between old-school (or any school) aerobic dance and yoga. Can you imagine if power yoga classes took from the "Jackie Sorensen lineage" ... and became all mild, Shiva Rea-inspired, (perhaps to YOU PURISTS) slightly insipid aerobics-infused - without CLEAR progression - classes. And yet was taught in an actual studio and not some crowded (even if upscale) gym?
Then there would be no backlash ...
And the yoga studio managers would not try to get to you take (3 classes a day if you want)
