When you click on the Exercise in the tracker it says "settings" right next to it, if you click the link it will take to the the page to change the setting where it is automatically checked. I did that when I set up my account.

I changed my settings once I saw it was automatically checked. I personally don't like when my friends post about diets or workouts (it becomes a competition), so I wouldn't want to do it either.

I never knew that about the small box to check for Facebook from your Exercise Tracker. I post next to nothing on Facebook and do not want this information posted there. I am going to look closer at my Fitness Tracker next time.

Somewhere, somehow I stopped it from doing that! Same with the Mapmywalk app. It used to do it.

I agree with you. It should be TOTALLY opt in. I choose not to share my Spark activities on FB and believe that the only reason Spark wants us to do so it to increase traffic to the SP site.

I agree, I also DO NOT like to share anything on Facebook!

I need to vent! I'm annoyed that when I add a workout to the Fitness tracker I have to uncheck the absolutely tiny "post to Facebook" checkbox. I DO NOT WANT to add my workouts to Facebook and the default should be the box is unchecked.

I stopped using Facebook a while ago when I found out the truth about their shady Privacy Policies; so Sparkpeople should not just assume that it's members will follow the masses and post our lives everywhere all the time.
