Hi Rachael, I had Stage 2 breast cancer in 2010. I am on my 4th year of Tamoxifen. I completely understand what you are going through. I no longer need to take steroids and once I stopped them, the weight came off quite easily. I changed my diet at the same time, and went totally plant-based. No meat or dairy. This allowed me to lose weight and it stayed off. However, I did stop losing at about my pre-cancer weight, but I have never felt better. I dont know if I will ever get to my "ideal" weight again. I would encourage you to think of your body as in recovery for the next few years. I know that it is really hard that you are young (I was 38 when diagnosed and lost my breasts and ovaries!). All I can tell you is that from my experience, your body will begin to take care of you again, and the weight is not as important as about how you feel. Hi All, I'm Rachael - 39 - and have about 3 stone to lose. I am currently on Tamoxifen and steroids and finding weight loss really difficult. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago and have been on a number of treatments - weight loss was steady until I started the Tamoxifen and Steroids - now it is going in the other direction. Any advice or support really would be appreciated..any pearls of wisdom? Thanks Rachael
