When I exercise for about an hour or more outside (no matter what the activity - hiking, running, rollerblading), I feel fine during the workout, but immediately after my hands start feeling very numb. I thought it was either an issue of needing to refuel after the workout or not wearing enough layers, but I've now remedied both and my hands still feel numb. Not sure what to do; sometimes it's so bad that driving would be difficult. Luckily, I often work out with my husband so then he just drives, but I'd still like to know if there is any way around this. The numbness lingers around for an hour or more before my hands return to normal. I read online that this is most likely the result of poor blood circulation but ironically the best remedy offered is exercising. And this happens to me routinely after exercise! Has anyone else experienced this and found any solution? Or should I go see a doctor? I don't have any major health issues, eat a balanced diet, work out, etc.
