I would estimate that could be a little high, if anything, but certainly pretty realistic, yes.

You mean average HR? Does the HRM not show you that? Mine does. If yours doesn't, either check on it from time to time throughout the workout so you know what the rough average was, or just average the 133-160 and use that.

I owe you! Thank you so much!
(PS) How do you know the average calories burnt? I meant my hrm showed (133/160) depending on my speed.
Sorry, if this sounds totally stupid, but still figuring it.
I fell down, so have not moved my butt in 7 days :(

There are HR to calories burned calculations out there. They're all estimates, but so would Polar's be in a higher model watch so ... meh.

Try this one. I think it gave me a reasonable figure for my own running:

I admit, Iam not delighted with FT20. But, as I do not have the option to exchange it I think I will use it.
I may gift it to my younger brother to use it as a 'watch';)
I may fly to Malaysia end of October & will search the FT40!
(thanks)

What kind of help do you want?

You have a link to how to use your product and it doesn't do what you want. Are you seeking reviews on what kind of one to buy instead? Just make sure it offers "calories burned" as a feature on the box.

Iam so sorry, I completely skipped WHAT I wanted to know.
I needed to know, if there is any way I could check my 'calories' burnt online?
(Like log in the heart rate & see?)

I upgraded to the FT40 also. One feature I really like on this one is the fit test. Every Sunday I take the test and can tell how effective my workouts have been the past week. One thing I had to do was lie about my age. If I put in that I am 48 it computes a brisk walk as a super fitness workout. I first week that I used it it was telling me that anything over 118 beats per minute was in the fitness zone. I had to lower the age to 30 so it will not freak out when I hit an average of 162 bpm. Or get the heart rate up over 180 bpm for a little while. Other than that the model has a lot of really good benefits.

Weight is the result of what you have been doing for the past week.

Unfortunately, the FT2 does not display the calories burned. Here is the user manual and it lists what you can see in the fitness file: http://www.polar.fi/e_manuals/FT1_FT2/Pola
r_FT1_FT2_user_manual_English/ch04.html

I have the FT 40 and it is a good one that will keep quite a few workouts in the fitness files (where the FT2 only keeps one and is replaced by your next workout). The FT40 will tell you calories burned, average and max heart rates, and how many minutes you spent in the fat burning zone and how many minutes you spent in the fitness zone.

I have a polar FT2 HRM, (husband got it from Germany as it was not available or even known to sports shops in India.)
To my disappointment it does not show the calories burnt.
This link explains, how to use it. Adding the link so you can see what sort of HRM Iam talking about. www.youtube.com/watch?v=R43NgmxS6rI

So, can someone please help me here.
thank you
