Awesome, I will look into that. I have been to many sites, but the selection, sizes and colors, are limited this time of year. Thanks for your suggestion.

I just goggled elbow length shirts in plus sizes and a bunch came up. If you don't like to buy online and want to try on first just Google at the end offered at retail stores.

"There should be a LAW, size 18 +up should have a longer sleeve length, Most of the web sites that offer plus sizes, charge at least $5.00 more, we should at least feel comfortable."

YES!!! LMAO!!! These built in water wings may be cozy for my kids to snuggle up against, but they are NOT sessy!!! Hahahaha!

I shop Land's End a lot, however, there are only a few colors I would wear, and I also don't want all my top s to be the same. Thanks

Land's End

Also, if you look for boatneck tops, they usually have elbow sleeves.

I usually find the long sleeves go well below my wrist and over my hands!

I just received an e mail from them, and I will check everything out. This seems to be a very popular topic. There should be a LAW, size 18 +up should have a longer sleeve length, Most of the web sites that offer plus sizes, charge at least $5.00 more, we should at least feel comfortable.

I don't know if you do any online shopping but there is a website called Woman Within with a lot of styles, lengths, and sleeve lengths to choose from. I found the prices and shipping to be quite reasonable and the quality has been great on what I bought.

I'm glad you posted this because I also prefer elbow length and I'm finding everyone's suggestions useful too! I usually end up buying long sleeves and scrunching or rolling them up. I've thought of actually cutting and hemming them but never seem to get around to it!

I like Coldwater Creek. My favorite store and website. If you just go to the website the clothes look really spendy, but sign up for their emails. They often have flash sales and sometimes mark everything 50-75% off. And one time they had a flash sale where everything was 50% off and then the second item of equal or lesser value was free.

The closest I've found to elbow length is the 3/4 sleeve. :( I know that's not what you said, but...sorry. Was just trying to help out. I know how frustrating it is. My arms are huge. I hate the 1/4 sleeve shirts that have been popular as of the last few years.

What about Old Navy? (certain sizes you can only get online) Maurices... Is there a CATO near you? Kohls?

I'm not a fashionista. The info I've read suggests that people with wide hips shouldn't wear 3/4 length sleeves. They stop at the widest part of the hips. My preference is long sleeves in a lightweight fabric.

I don't wear plus size, but Target seems to have a nice selection of plus size clothing that is actually cute and not tent-like. Maybe check that out?

Edit: Oops just saw the other poster's recommendation for Target too :)

I think Nordstrom Rack/TJ Maxx/Marshall's have plus size clothing too.

I'm in the same boat, except I'm 6' tall and have arms longer than in proportion with my body so sleeves are rarely long enough for me. However, SOMETIMES Lord & Taylor has amazing sales on their plus size clothes and they sometimes have longer sleeves. We just got my mom 4 shirts with 3/4 sleeves for about $80 total with their sales and coupons. She likes a higher neck and longer sleeves.
I've found that sometimes more upscale department stores have exactly what I'm looking for over other options, however without a sale the prices can run pretty high.
I found a style at Target with 3/4 sleeves but they don't fit me right around the middle. I found it online though as Target has a much larger plus size department online.
Good luck!

I'm the same. I prefer 3/4 sleeves for that reason. As for teeshirts for lounging in, I generally get over-sized guy shirts.

Has anyone found a place to buy tops with elbow length sleeves, beside Roman's or Lane Bryant, as there clothes do not fit me properly. I really am not comfortable in a standard short sleeve top.,
