I'm not a fan of chiropractors but I know so many people who are. Glad you're getting checked out and hope you're feeling a lot better.

Thanks everyone. My massage therapist had a cancellation for tomorrow and is able to fit me in. She's been super helpful to me since I met her. I was getting ready to head to the ER when I got her message. I figured the ER would be better than the doctor since they have the capability to do more tests and have more ready access to the specialists. However, I'm going to hold off on that until after my appointment tomorrow.
I will not do chiropractic care. I've seen two who made my back exponentially worse. I know a lot of people swear by their chiropractor, but after my experiences it is not something I will ever do again, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone.

I'd call the doctor back (sorry) and say nothing is working and you need to get in immediately so that he or she can try something else.

And, yes, have had pinched nerves in the neck, but I'm not a medical professional and that is what you need.

I think a chiropractor would just refer you back to your doctor for something this severe.

I agree with the suggestions to go see a chiropractor!

The doctor took care of the pinched nerve on my sister's neck. Hope you find help and relief!!!

Chiropractic is the way to go. It can provide amazing relief without medications...good luck and rest well.

I am an advocate of chiropractic care. My husband is a chiropractor and we have been married for 36 years. I get weekly (sometimes daily) adjustments, could not live without it!

Has anyone ever had a pinched nerve in their neck? What did you do about it? Please don't tell me to see a doctor, I've done that already and so far their suggestions aren't helping.
I'm going to my neurologist next week anyway, and he has a really good track record of manipulating my nerves (I have exposed nerves so they get pinched easily, but never in my neck before), and will hopefully be able to manipulate this one back to where it should be. But in the meantime it's driving me nuts. I am losing sensation in my arm in addition to the incredible pain that NEVER goes away, even with prescription strength medications.
I had spine surgery partially because of a pinched nerve, and now I have permanent damage to my bladder, right leg, and right hip as a result of the nerve being pinched for so long. I know how dangerous it can be to wait it out, so I'm hoping that there are some suggestions that might work. My massage therapist can't fit me in until next week either, so I'm left kind of on my own until at least next Wednesday which is a long time to have to deal with this much pain that nothing helps.
