I was picky when I was little but I eat just about everything now. I missed out on a lot of good food when I was younger because I wouldn't try new foods. Now I try just about anything once. I wish my 8 year old would try new foods but she limits herself to about 15 things she likes and says yuck to everything else.

I let my ten year old help out in the kitchen. She also cooks at Grandma's house. She wants EVERYONE to try her cooking. She talks about it for days on end, especially if her dad tells her that the food she cooked is better than mine. She is not too picky for the most part, but she will not eat green beans, no matter how you serve them. I won't either.

I was a picky eater as a child. I remember my Mother fixing creamed peas & carrots. Ewww! I did not like them. When I grew up, I liked them then. There were a number of things I didn't care to eat as a child. As I grew up, my taste buds changed. emoticon

Hello All,

I have two children ages 3 and 9 and they are picky eaters for the most part. My 3 year old is not as picky as my 9 year old.

Do any of you have your kids help in the kitchen and does it really make them want to eat what they make?
