I eat at Panera infrequently. Yes, I love their food, but I think it's more calorie-laden that what we might think.

I have only eaten at Panera once and got a breakfast sandwich prior to a bike ride. I was eating in the car in route to the trailhead. I was only about three bites or so away from being done when I realized the paper was still on the cheese slice.
I guess there food must be pretty good if even the paper taste good! But, I never went back.

I'm not sure but I use to love those soup bowls till I found out how many calories were in them WOWZERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was just there yesterday...they have a new turkey, apple and white cheddar sandwich that was really good. I got the 1/2 sandwich and it was perfect size-wise and calorie-wise.

I will often get either the low-fat chicken soup or black bean as both are very low in calories. I usually pair it with a salad or half sandwich using their "Pick 2" option for half and half.
I agree they are one of the best for fast food with healthy options AND they are very transparent about their nutrition counts!!!! That's always a big plus for me!

I like Panera's food, but I would definitely check the nutrition information ahead of time and choose what you're going to order before you go. Some of the items are higher in calories, sodium, etc. than one might expect. But with that said, enjoy!
I like the pick two--garden vegetable or black bean soup, and half Asian Sesame chlicken salad with reduced sugar Asian Sesame vinaigrette. I choose the apple for my side.
I also like half a tuna sandwich with mustard or half a smoked turkey sandwich with mustard and one of the above mentioned soups with an apple.

I always get the broccoli cheddar soup. They now post their nutrition info on the menu boards, which is nice. And my beloved soup is only 200 calories for a cup and 300 calories for a bowl :) Their pastries are good, but they are such huge calorie bombs that it's not quite worth it.

They have a great menu online that itemizes out the calories and such so that you can plan what you want based on how many calories you're willing to spend. I must say their white cheddar mac & cheese is quite tasty and their new pasta items look really good, too. Some of their soups are really healthy and taste good, too, so that you can get a satisfying meal without breaking the calorie bank.
I haven't been to Panera lately because there isn't one close but when I worked downtown Minneapolis, I loved going there. They have reasonable choices that are lower in calories and satisfying. I think they have their nutrition info online. Their salads are tasty and I used to get a half sandwich and soup combo regularly. Delicious.

Panera is my favorite fast food place. I really like the Thai chopped chicken salad.
Love the coffee and sweets, but how is the other food? I see the place is booming with business, I seen soups, salada and sandwiches on menu and some pasta. So what's your fav? I may go there for lunch Friday.
