Good for you!

I finally dropped below 200lbs. Suddenly, I realized that I can actually do this! It is not out of my reach to get to my goal of 130. I felt a renewed sense of determination and commitment. I've been doing very well at tracking my food, staying under the calories I'm required to stay under to lose weight (per doctor's orders). My protein is high enough and I've been doing well at taking all my vitamins and medications. Increased my water intake to 70oz or more a day.

And I was able to start exercising again....after my bout with pericarditis (inflammation of the lining around the heart), the cardiologist released me to start my exercise routine. It has only been about a week, but I've been diligent. Just have to be cautious due to my knees. No cartilage left, so can't do anything high impact.

I found that even though I can't jog on my treadmill, I could increase my heart rate doing shadow punching at intervals to increase intensity. I'm cruising through the videos and exercises in Sparkpeople to find a low impact, high intensity interval workout that I can use on my non-treadmill days. I'll be down to 130 by June 1st! Woohoo!
