I turned 55 recently and realized I could get the "senior's discount" at the local grocery store. First my vanity kicked in - "I AM NOT A SENIOR!" but then the frugal part of me thought about it.....10% mean more money for the fun stuff. Now I rejoice in saying "Senior's discount please" and I get tagged because they don't think I am old enough. Full circle from the days when I got tagged because they didn't think I was old enough.
I love being "old"! Despite that fact that my knees hurt, I have bat wings and a saggy middle. I earned them!

Not life, but losing weight. I could drop it so much easier when I was younger. Now it is so slow.

I can sure relate to that! I tried zumba gold for the first time two weeks ago. The first time I though I was gona die. haha. The second time was pretty good. I still have around 30 lbs to lose.

Well--I'm in better shape now, weight less BUT it is still very hard to get up from the floor--my knees don't like that at all. So some physical things are harder. It is easier to speak my mind--I don't really care what some people think anymore!

What exactly do you find to be harder? I think a lot of things are easier, now that I am over 50.

I wonder how many others feel that it is harder as we get older. I would like to see other active older, over 50, I know that it isn't the same as when we were in our thirties or forties, but still don't want to be put out to pasture. lol
